I want all Reporters blessed and protected Worldwide. I desire Peace. That said it seems like October 7^th is whitewashed in the conversations that I am hearing at times from both Reporters and The United Nations.

Hiroshima out of context could easily be up sold to Monstrous. There might have been better solutions, one could debate about that now given years upon years of analysis. I haven’t really heard arguments for how it should have been better addressed (though I am not sure where I would look to hear them). Out of context equals high potential for more up to speculation likely equals potentially less investment. Stopping More Atomic Bombs dropped in current context is important, preventing uncontrollable momentum toward WW3 is important.

Wikipedia says 1200 Victims in Israel + Hostages taken. From those numbers that feels not too far off from September 11^th, 2001

Imagine if similar had happened to the US after terrorists were allowed to just send rocket after rocket over years of time at one of our cities skylines.

Wikipedia says 2403 Dead after Pearl Harbor (and reminder World population was smaller back then, equal proportionally greater). What would have happened if the World said, called for a cease fire? If the Japanese imperialists were a terrorist group that built tunnels under their citizens cities? Set the combined inaction that allowed Gas Chambers and atrocities against the Jewish people to of less consequence has shown precedent for amplifying less than sufficiently.

I like Asian countries and I do not desire to re-amplify Anti-Asian sentiment based upon old wars long past. That said not addressing History (at least as I know it, a Historian or Expert might be able to better clarify things I cannot) seems unwise, potentially dangerous. Information amplifies less than ideally, cyber security is far less than ideal, history is not always recorded accurately or without bias, further bias is hard, very hard for even the best people on Earth to more ideally divest from.

Where I sit in the World matters. I am blessed to be safe, thus I have more capacity to deliver words, words that are likely to amplify more ideally for some than others. I want all blessed and protected and I want all terrorist groups to no longer be able to wage war against peaceful citizens. I realize oppression in the World is far less than ideal even in 2023, that said inspiring people to positive ends that do not involve violence is paramount to actually save future generations from that oppression and greater levels of oppression.

I lived through September 11^th, 2001. I was in Dallas, while the attacks against New York City and The Pentagon were taking place. 2023, many years later I can say I have done everything I can to inspire less terrorists in the World, give those hurting in the World greater opportunities that might steer them towards positive paths and support that doesn’t try to turn them into terrorists? No. I work with computers, I have not always had freedom, I have not always felt I have had sufficient words or training to comment on things happening in the World. I still don’t feel like I am an ideal communicator, that said inaction and lack of words has shown precedent for not delivering ideally over time.

In 2043, 20 years will have passed.  20 years that the World has the potential to inspire better paths all while trying to prevent worse paths. Allot can happen over 20 years, people that might be trying to help might lose their freedom or experience persecution, and oppression I cannot even imagine. Just because I attempt to inspire better paths does not guarantee others in the World will.

October 7^th , 2023 in Israel happened even after September 11^th, 2001, and all the years of investment by the World in better. I am not sure exactly what needs to change, that said it seems like we should be further along after 20 years. There are more problems in the World outside of The Middle East, The Middle East to having less war and conflict would equal greater capacity to help other parts of the World that are hurting in instances such as Natural Disasters. Greater Peace and Stability, Less Problems in advance equals greater capacity. 2123 will there be Peace in the Middle East? If not, how much will the rest of the World have lost due to conflicts that prevent other topics from becoming center stage? Haiti is The United States Neighbor, More Capacity upfront Matters.

Like the four seasons, I might pray for it to never get too cold, does not equal it won’t snow. I might pray for it not to get too hot, does not necessarily mean God won’t allow it to get too hot. Haiti is likely to have a Hurricane in the next 20 years if weather patterns continue, I will pray for less natural disasters in Haiti, does not equal God might not have other plans. I will pray for Peace in the Middle East, for Wisdom for All World Leaders that leads to Less Oppression and Greater Peace though my guess is many have already been praying for the same for years on end.

I desire there to be true and lasting peace in The Middle East. As long as I can remember I have heard about terrorist attacks, at least since 9/11. I think I remember hearing a World Leader say it is just a matter of how many people are lost before Lasting Peace is established.

Israel in the past has allowed cease fire and peace that has given terrorists room to continue to launch rockets and terrorize the people of Israel. The World was slow to react in World War 2 and genocide + gas chambers was a result, not to mention use of atomic bombs (which could easily be a problem if things scaled out of control again). Thus, I find Israel’s current position understandable, desire to eliminate the threat against their current and future generations matters, and as history has shown the World has not always been sufficient antisemitism out.

All that said I do not want law abiding peaceful Muslim people that are in Palestine hurt. I am not sure I see a future where Israel can allow people to continuously shoot rockets at their citizens, they will have to have the potential to secure and protect their borders. Further destroying the mindset of devaluing and dehumanizing Jewish people in the Middle East is paramount. The idea words like Zionists should be wiped from the face of the map aren’t the same kind of propaganda the Nazis used, propaganda that has potential to lead to genocide would be wrong.

Convincing the World to be less dehumanizing and more supportive of each other, fostering mindsets and ideas that lead to bridges-built matters in not fully appreciated ways. Words we invest in today will likely echo in time 10 years, 20 years, 100 years from now in ways that are hard to fully comprehend.

Maybe it is too late for the current generation to grow up in a World full of Peace and a World without the Possibility for Terrorist Attacks and Genocide. Being in 2023, so long after World War II, so long after The Civil Rights Movement, it seems like Humanity should be past the point where Race and Dehumanization is grounds to limit each other. I would like to hope that one day generations will no longer fall into and facilitate the same ways of thinking that has left our World torn again and again.

We have real problems like natural disasters and climate change, that likely would have greater support if we had less political unrest in the World, less chances to die due to terrorist attacks or wars sparked by them. Less problems matter, and 8 billion people will likely grow to 16 billion, and 32 billion – the sooner we make real and lasting change high potential for amazing implications that could lead to far greater breakthroughs on medicine, prolonging life, and increasing quality of life for all people on Earth and in Space (ISS Citizens and other Space Stations count too).

Israeli citizens to never having to fear that others in the region will try to wipe them off the face of the map factors into reduced stress, and reduced stress equals greater potential and power for investments in fields other than military and requirements for protectionism. Lasting change matters, and as they are experiencing these problems in 2023, seems like our World has a problem carrying forward momentum of positive change, like less Jewish people hurt after WWII.

1000 years from now will people talk about how we worked through our differences and banded together to save humanity from the Devil and Evil mindsets fostering enormous impacts for generations? I hope so

Some thoughts

The Bible talks about helping each other in society. Feeding the poor, looking after widows, trying to live up to the Golden Rule.

Divestment from legalism matters. If someone is visiting people in Jail and Prison, they are not out on the street feeding the sick, they are potentially not helping someone that is having a heart attack get to the hospital. If someone is feeding people on the street, they are not visiting people in Jail and Prison.

More people with more surface area factors into a community with more or less oversight. Less coverage matters. If I do one thing right, like pouring a bowl of soup I have to rely upon others in the community to live up to the other parts of God’s plan while I am pouring the bowl of soup.

That said pouring a bowl of soup could become common place, could become comfortable in an ivory tower kind of way. If I am pouring a bowl of soup I don’t need to visit people in the hospital. If I am pouring a bowl of soup I don’t need to care if widows are being helped or mistreated in society.

I do think this could be taken to extreme levels in ways that are inefficient. One could say God didn’t say buy a car and then feed my people, He said feed my people. The car makes the trip easier, more convenient, more comfortable and more efficient in some ways (fast delivery, more people fed faster potentially) and less efficient in some ways (I have already made one trip and am out of gas, my job is done, the environment with more greenhouse gases is no big deal, the money used for the car couldn’t be better used for feeding the poor). The amount of stipulations and legalism surrounding all of it could be paralyzing and disheartening, discouraging. Too many burdens has potential to make delivery and future delivery less likely, God’s people helping need to be supported and encouraged is likely not always fully comprehended. I am not saying every Christian should sell their car, I am saying I think legalism amplifies far less than ideally in society.

There could be reasons for society desiring to see God’s people delivering without cars and transportation – harder work valued, people don’t always appreciate stories and narrative without sufficient contrast. Cinderella stories might sell more than a guy took the check to the store to get food with the car and gave to the people in need with no flats, and no persecution? Society needs to be encouraged and inspired, to say that is ideal truth amplified over time seems unwise. Less inspired matters in not fully appreciated ways, felt like lied to can amp in ways even when problems truly exist due to the way contrast, narrative control, and propaganda amplify at certain times in history. Giving matters and giving might equal less than ideal truth inspired which also matters. Less truth could equal less cheerful givers, and cheerful less leveraged giving matters.

I am a fan of Green technology, and practical applications that are safe matter. Church goers with more access to Hybrids and Teslas, Full electric cars, bikes, and scooters at accessible price points might lead to cleaner air and a closer to ideal form of delivering aid to one another.

If we as society wholesale divested from Media systems like Hollywood there would likely be less adultery in the World. We as a society have not divested wholesale from Hollywood, Rock Music, Drugs, Sex, and Rock and Roll. Leaving the idea of stoning for adultery in place while not wholesale divesting gives far less than ideal feeling of what is justice inspired correctly. Society invests in systems and design that is far from all sin out yet punishes a few seems like has shown precedent in history for being the norm. Children walking through NorthPark Mall (Dallas, TX) likely see the Lingerie store ads, yet we as a society have sufficiently turned down stoning for adultery as a valid and just system? Society that invests in systems and ideas of justice that potentially do not sufficiently protect future generations seems ideal?

Forgiveness and Grace not invested in sufficiently, calling out wrongs of a few while overlooking the repetitive wrongs of many and systemic design that benefits a subset of society has shown historic precedent and has broad implications that would be more ideal to divest from in advance.

I like Movies, Rock Music, and Lingerie stores as part of society, yet I realize that if all were removed there would likely be less adultery in the world. I like great entertainment yet I don’t want to facilitate misery for others – making my position one a bit more difficult to hold. Will amp more ideally for some, likely those with better support and stronger brands likely not fully perceived and comprehended. Base model of what society amplifies has shown precedent for delivering less than sufficiently over time.

Orphan skips school goes to mall, winds up in bars after 18, winds up in strip clubs, then run off a cliff for adultery impossible in this world? Bars next to cliffs might amp in less than sufficient ways. God will ideally protect from those kinds of things, people don’t need prayers and support to help prevent things like that from happening seems like it has shown precedent for delivering less than ideally.

People that commit adultery need to be protected in society? I think so, yet has potential to amplify less than ideal thought paths. Look at with lust has committed adultery in their heart factors into categorize and classify, potential for a large portion of society held to a bar society far from ideally invests in. I don’t want to be stoned for walking through a mall and seeing a lingerie ad? True. Same logic that goes into bombing abortion clinics could be used – less sin in the world to a more ideal system. Wherever you sit on the debate bombing and murder, breaking laws of society versus trying to actually change the parts of society that create the problems in the first place seems to be convolution, and contortion of what justice actually represents.

People don’t ideally judge sin, make decisions based on perception of sin based on limited and obfuscated data while not always factoring in societal and systemic design that profits a subset. People don’t have to ideally agree upon what is sin for them to judge and punish others for it. Pushed out in the street, then given a ticket for jaywalking? Possible. That is one example though likely not the best example. People have potential for punishing sins in others that they would not want punished in themselves or others they care about, punishment, assessment, judgment, and perception of what is and what constitutes justice amps less than sufficiently at times.

The grace and forgiveness we turn up in others might factor into better decisions that might save their life and other’s life one day? True. That other might be us? True.

Generally, trials have Prosecution, Defense, and Judge. Is that design ideal for the future of society? Does that always lead to systemic changes and additions that need to be made based on each case being addressed in society? Systemic design exists thus we have potential for setting it to ideal without always considering possible improvements to design that might benefit all parties including society. Innovation in Societal Design seen as less valuable is likely to lead to less progress and breakthroughs. That said change is both constant and has shown precedent for amplifying less than sufficiently for all parties in society. Changes and Additions to more value for all in society is far from an ideal system, is far from guaranteed without investment in time, thought, resources, and reflection. Who judges, who assesses what is sufficient and what is adequate, what is ideal matters in not fully appreciated likely not fully comprehensible ways.

How society is designed factors into concepts and valuations of what and what does not constitute justice and what is fair/equal treatment.

Some thoughts on Giving vs Lending, Pastors, Preachers, and Priests might have more wisdom than me on the topic. Here are some of my thoughts.

The Bible says give and expect nothing in return. Luke 6:35

There are good reasons to give versus lend. Giving has potential to empower the giver as well as the receiver more than lending does. Freedom is powerful, having to collect on debt is far from free requirement for book keeping, stress, requirement to potentially hold people accountable.

If I lend someone $5. If the $5 dollars is not repaid I might feel wronged, feel like an agreement has not been met, that I can no longer rely upon someone’s word. Potential liability such as that is less than all burden out on both giver and receiver. I might lend someone $5 and give someone else $20, yet I would feel wronged if I did not get the $5 back and I expect never to get the $20 back. People plan based upon expectation, and expectation has shown precedent in life for being turned up in non-ideal ways – at least in my life experience.

A society taught to owe less could be enabling in many different directions. There are good owes, like desire to protect friends, family, and fellow citizens like The Good Samaritan. Lending has potential to bet on a future that has yet to be written by God and there is a tendency at times for God to throw curve balls. Who has been lent to might hit hard times and not be able to pay back, and as we all have fallen short of the Glory of God and are required to hold up the Golden Rule, will we really be able to treat those we lent to with the level of love and respect they deserve? Failed expectation and extra temptation, such as might happen in a disaster like a storm might be less than ideal, yet lending might lead to both especially in hard times.

God said build upon rock, and while I realize lending, credit cards, and loans provide crucial services for saving lives at times taking them on lightly or automatically adding them as common place is not inconsequential. The extra stress due to having to pay high bills has the potential to take its toll over time and should not be consider as of zero consequence. Inspiring others to give more and lend less (expect less in return) has potential for being enabling, enabling in a way that allows people to be The Good Samaritan in crucial times. The person I gave $20 might be more inspired to give $5 to someone else in need if they don’t have the thought of needing to pay me back on their mind. Giving over lending has potential for freedom in directions not all might expect by default. Desire to micromanage is not always easy to ideally divest from, giving over lending helps invest in the realization everything cannot and should not be attempted to be controlled.
