Thoughts on Combating The Death Penalty

Warning Christian value references – might be pertinent to international regulation

Reminder I am not a lawyer

If A is right is part of the cost. Laws and regulations, judgments by courts factor into what is seen as A, right, how things should work out.

Questioning A is right, making others question if A is right is not always ideal. Finding ways to not have the problems and consequential trials and executions in the first place seems like high value added. There is value in being in alignment with authority – more open communication channels, access to power and resources that might not be available if one is seen as fights against authority, questions right and choice on a common basis.

Oppression and injustice are sometimes commented on as means of protection yet has potential to undermine authority in places it is not meant. Protecting people from injustice does not equal breaking laws is ideal, that breaking laws and not reinforcing laws should be broken is zero consequence. Even if a law shouldn’t be followed, having a law on the books that shouldn’t be followed and not following it has potential to reinforce other laws questioned as valid or broken.

God, Christ in The Bible says Mercy will be given to the Merciful, Forgive and you will be Forgiven. Christianity is not believed by all, less need to give mercy or forgiveness in the first place is valuable. That said turning up Mercy and Grace, Forgiveness for others likely will lead to a World where Forgiveness and Grace is seen more as an option. Governments and power has potential to change over time, turned up in advance has value.

Easy to turn up unforgiveness and less mercy, grace without trying to. Mankind has potential for turning up assessment, right and wrong, good and bad, problem not a problem. Similar thought patterns used for concepts like engineering and art might lead to feeling of has to be right, has to be right might not be ideally applicable to all situations and contexts.

Collective groups might be more likely to prosecute a person than individuals. I paid tax dollars in the past, I don’t like injustice, injustice sometimes exists in systems. Pontius Pilate and citizens calling for Christ’s death. Thoughts of citizens that paid taxes but didn’t see the injustice. Working against bandwagon appeal is harder than people think – might be fired, might be put on the street, mind wind up in their shoes not all ideal.

Don’t push against a brick wall, go with the flow, wind will take us where need to go no need to change course – all mindsets that make sense yet might not ideal in situations where it is valuable to fight injustice.

I care about fighting injustice and I don’t want people that are part of the system, fellow citizens to be hurt. Thinking of ways to fight in productive, non-violent ways in advance, when you aren’t angry, disheartened might lead to greater capacity to solve problems when life has stacked more on you than you think you can handle. The thought – I am mad at the system but I partially invest in a system that is less than ideal, want all the people that are part of the system and not part of the system protected in ideal ways, blessed in ideal ways is notable. Better methods might equate to less time costs later, greater peace with less side effects.

Thoughts on Systemic Change

Warning Christian value references – might be pertinent to international regulation

People worked on crops and then we got better tracters – industrial revolution changed things in ways that profited some party over others.

Artifical Intelligence and Computer Systems Software and Hardware has potential to change things in ways where iterating over all possible combinations becomes easier.

Past contributions lead to head starts, potential for access to copyrights, patents, and designs, access to systems and manufacturing. The future that has potential to iterate over past contributions and create more valuable creations while potentially not protecting all parties that previously invested. This is not a problem that is specific to AI Artificial Intelligence does not equal it is zero problem, zero problem for friends, family, and coworkers.

Not exactly sure how to address the problem. Slowing down technology and innovation is likely to lead to surpassed by other countries – thus not a viable solution. Not slowing down technology is not consequence free, can’t say it has lead to ideal people not on the streets, to ideal global warming out.

I am not sure how to feel about all that with idea God is just, ideally just. God, Christ is also merciful, forgiving thus the idea of ideal justice seems unwise, unwise to think is possible, unwise to think can be invested in ideally sufficiently. If one makes a product that helps speed up progress an innovation – how to manage accounting of value added vs jobs lost, access to support lost, requirement to retrain and potentially move? The future brings innovation, innovation brings progress, progress is good for everyone (or at least is meant to be), progress doesn’t ideal everyones situations leads to a discrepancy – problems fixed, people supported beats the idea of ideal justice as possible, as might be correctly judged and assessed by man.

Frees up time for more valuable things, capacity to work on what you love – except without money to spend, support you might end up in a less ideal place than before which does not seem like progress. Progress does have benefits – better drugs and more capacity to fight cancer – might equate to more time to do what you love is worthy of factoring in.

Thoughts on Personal Accountability

Warning Christian value references – might be pertinent to international regulation

Mercy will be given to the Merciful, Forgive and you will be Forgiven – one of Christ’s teaching

If you are in a business deal and one person gets $1000 at the end of the meeting and one person gets nothing, it might be desirable to try to win and walk away with $1000 at the end.

There are many problems outside of business deals that are bigger and problematic, where the price of winning is too great.

If someone cheats with my wife (don’t have one using for example) I have two options. Be mad as hell and never forgive, or forgive and be merciful, consider how I might have added to non ideals in society that have lead to the current results. This does not make adultery ok.

If someone steals from me, I have two options. Be mad as hell and never forgive, or realize that I turn up Math through products, services, and education which turns up greed and lessons on turning down greed I have divested from, not invested in ideally might have lead to the current results. This does not make stealing ok.

Unforgiveness is consequental and has a price. If I am unforgiving in one area, others might use it as free game to not forgive me for my wrongs.

The difference is one that points fingers at others, makes results dependent upon actions of others, and one is a way to take personal accountability and realize that getting the $1000 at the end of the meeting, at the end of the day might be less than the common good.

I like mercy, I like being forgiven, I know what it feels like to feel unforgiven, can’t win mercy – future is bleak, hopeless not really ideal and I don’t want to inspire it in others.

For people who want to make peace, I would be glad to talk

Diagram might be slightly confusing – meant it to say lies, sin, greed, and miscommunication don’t A truth

Learning contributes to less lies, sin, greed, and miscommunication

Price of grudges, unforgiveness, and silence is not always known upfront. From my experience communication, hope for the future, learning, peace, and win wins are some of what is to lose.

Engineering and Diversity

Warning Christian value references – might be pertinent to international regulation

People don’t build bridges for only one ethnicity to cross. Systemic Design and Engineering that protects all parties justly not some parties matters and gets less than ideally turned up.

Jobs available and funds available factor into who gets to live next to the bridge, who gets to use the bridge, and who profits from the bridge. Desire to deliver in ideal ways has potential to not always deliver in ideal ways. There are many products outside of bridges that don’t work ideally for all parties, are turned up in ways that might profit some over others.

Governments and Cities have to sell themselves on being more diverse, on being fair and just by all people. Yet to get to a place that is more inclusive and diverse sold as will deliver might not be all truth. There is potential for painting a rosey view of reality, there is potential for being surrounded by a rosey view of reality without actually seeing all the places where there are problems.

We teach Algebra and Calculus in High Schools. One might argue if we are teaching Algebra and Calculus two fields that factor into Engineering, we should be teaching a class on Diversity and Engineering. USA is a diverse country, delivering in more ideal ways on Diversity facilitates less problems and less thorns in the side for future generations.

Real statistics around Diversity might not always be turned up due to a rosey view, or due to protection – any group of people thinking they are not being treated justly likely has potential to spur problems.

There is also a problem with truth around diversity and treating someone right. If someone of another ethnicity is doing something I might not agree with, they are their own man and as I want to make peace I might not rebuke them strongly, in the right way, or at all. Less rebukes might lead to mistakes in hard times. Access and oxygen in the room to have real conversation does not always exist.

These disparities factor into a justice system and a resource system that has potential to do better by some parties over other parties. Problems with altercations between different ethnicities are hard, not easy to deal with, easy to not think one has the right words to address in ideal ways. Can’t deliver in ideal ways matters – Bible says Be Perfect + James 4:17 knowing and not doing is sin – can’t deliver in ideal ways gets set to sin, to non-delivery.

Understand Wind 2

I am a fan of Christianity and The Church, I also am a fan of others being able to profit from their work per the Golden Rule (treat others as you wish to be treated)

Free Starter Diagram (warning Christian value references – might be pertinent to international regulation)

Christians might be persecuted and in jail in certain parts of the world, turning up Golden Rule reminders might facilitate less persecution and oppression, people making diamonds, gold, and profit off of God’s work while others are persecuted in jail might give feeling of injustice at times, ifs a Christian writing can be set to we don’t have to pay you might not A support for self and family – it’s God’s might feel less than ideal if it means you don’t eat.

Government that legalizes gay marriage and provides 10 commandments? Potential for inconsistency in combination, I don’t want to judge homosexuality and I don’t think 10 commandments added is all value out (I believe in Don’t Judge + James 4:17 not to be confused with I am gay).

Less murder good, less non ideal judgment based upon less-than-ideal comprehension good

Separation of Church and State just in for show? Scarlet Letter society might not be all pretty. Our society having freedom of religion factors into tolerance and moderation. If our Church’s owned the government it might be different than when The Church owned countries in Europe – though I am not sure how long the difference would stay intact if we dropped requirement for Separation of Church and State. Assessment and Judgment lines blurred with a free pass?
