Blogs are a signal. They are like a light switch – on and off. Ideally the signal from a blog improves the World augments power in the World like a solar panel or wind generator.

Many different posts give a coherence, and the distinctly separate gives capacity to magnify signals in multiple directions (all positive preferably). One post about Forgiveness is a signal. One post about Grace and Love is another signal. The signals have potential to augment each other. The future might take the post and turn them up to address the problems of the day, have potential to be converted to useful by AI and supercomputers.

Is it unrealistic to think one can improve others lives (8 billion plus people’s lives) by 5%? A good product can mean the world of difference. Stuck in the heat, dehydrated. Or stuck in the heat with an ice cold water bottle? I am using a personal cooling device (neck based that has fans, purchased off of Amazon). It is allot like the one I saw on Sharper Image when I was younger. It helps – though it is a bit of a trade off – connected to a battery pack for a trade for maybe 5% better experience and maybe 25% better experience in already AC-ed environments – turns mediocre AC into more formidable

It is one of those inventions that seems like it could revolutionize the World, at least in Texas. Could cut energy costs significantly. Enables an option for AC while E-biking and using E-scooters. The noise seems a little loud yet I think that is mainly because it is right by the ears – like being next to the AC nozzle on a bus. 3 of them 2 blowing on your face and 1 blowing down your neck onto your back.

I like the product, my current situation is hard – in the Texas heat – a little bit better helps significantly.

Need one that is shirt sized – like the warming shirts – maybe one could be made with Peltier’s and Thermoelectric cooling. The water pumped shirts look promising yet a bit out of price range and maintenance might be hard in certain contexts. Regardless more enabled to work in Texas environments might improve output substantially.

If society could give everyone personal AC space suits, we might have a happier and more productive society, and society with more potential for shortest path wins.

I like the idea that the solar panel can charge the AC device – gives the feeling of something (The Sun) which traditionally burns and gives heat as a cooling, protective system – risk more than mitigated ROI turned from loss into gain.

A large amount of energy goes into tall ceilings. Solar panels keep increasing in wattage – might be one of those tipping points for society where we find two gains – much better personal cooling which generated less need to cool and combined with greater power output from increasingly efficient solar panels, better insulation, better comprehension of physics.

Java FX Issue, August 27th, 2025

I am working with Java FX on Mac.

I had to change the slashes for some other paths in the project I imported from \\ to /.

Further the CSS file wasn’t loading using getClass().getResource(“style.css”) – it was giving null which is not a problem I had on Windows. It seems to be how eclipse imported the project – there is a part of the configuration that allows which files are include format **/*.java. I added **/*.css and it worked.

Homeless on a budget, August 27th, 2025

Hotels are expensive. Sleeping in parks or on the street might be the only option. More less sleep deprived facilitates better mental health and societal interactions from my opinion as someone that is not a doctor.

Current setup – not sure on the longevity

Intex twin mattress – under $20 at Target, needs a pump (I bought a usb one which was also under $20 – though no battery included, I have a usb power bank already that I am using)

Microfiber throw blanket – $10 at Target

It is a bit to carry around, being homeless no place to easily store items gets heavy. Everyone to carry their bed around with them all day? The perfect workout? What works for me likely would not work for all – I am a man, not the strongest man, but I would not want to force people that are low on health to shoulder the same level of burden.

All that said – the combo led to a pretty good night’s sleep – with some luck it will lead to many more.

Blogs give the potential for allot of directions for words. Words written might be perfect for someone 6 months ago, or perfect for someone who reads them 6 months from now – the ideal words, words that might be perfect in a certain context might not be ideal for the reader today.

Contributions in the moment might not always be appreciated or entertained. That said contributions over months and years has the potential to lead to a certain number of gems, worthwhile pieces whose sum is greater than their parts.

Easy to undersell oneself on knowing the value of a piece, knowing how it will be appreciated, how it will be used, what potential it has for the future.

I postulate that someone who hasn’t been homeless doesn’t know the full value of a bottle of orange juice. Someone that hasn’t been homeless might drink orange juice with or without champagne – mimosas – they might appreciate the drink and appreciate the mix. That said if one is homeless, hasn’t had food for a day or two, is beaten down by the heat, less nutrition like less potassium in their diet and is then given an icy cold bold of orange juice – it has the potential to taste like champagne.

Investment in a better system is made based upon the baseline. If one does not have to deal with the government like getting IDs on a normal basis, they might find the process a nuisance but a rare occurrence. Their baseline is one not built upon being homeless, is built upon one that being homeless is a rare or impossible occurrence. Yet less investment in the system made on the baseline has the potential to be more real if personally felt like experiencing homelessness oneself. Thus, the true cost of less investment is not always valued accurately.

That said even if you do everything right, if you try to do right by everyone – it doesn’t guarantee less homelessness, less oppression, and less persecution. Sometimes doing the right thing, like trying to fix a broken system might wind oneself up in the same shoes as the people they were trying to help. Power exists and moves forward with a certain momentum – challenges to it are not always appreciated, belief that things are the way they are people are homeless because things are fair is a type of assumption, I would set it to a non-accurate one.

Does a sinking ship give data? Do people value what the people in the sinking ship, swimming away from the wreckage have to say? More data points are always valued less? Proximity to sinking might lead to sinking? There is a certain market in the status quo, revolving door homelessness and justice? People always change their impression of people after their first impression – even if their first impression was built upon an oppressive system of leverage and jade?

Accessible and useful might not always be used wisely. If your janitor today became your boss tomorrow – people might not appreciate it – they have one view of how reality is, who they are more qualified than, who they are better than, who they should follow and who should follow them. Thus, there is potential for value and profit in keeping someone with a bad first impression – homeless, villain, undertrained and ill-equipped.

We claim we want to help people, but the alternative including the subconscious messages we turn up by the society we create tastes too good to change it in sufficient ways? One might be able to appreciate a star football player winning the touchdown for the Super Bowl – yet if you replace the star player with your neighbor (the one you are supposed to love) would you cheer it on, or would it create feelings of envy, that’s not who they are, they don’t deserve that?

Two computers I am currently using

AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX vs Apple M4 8 [cpubenchmark.net] by PassMark Software

The Apple M4 has faster single core processing. It’s power usage is less than half that of the Ryzen chip I am using. The M4 works surprisingly well with Blender while maintaining a battery life.

I haven’t tried a rendering test – the Ryzen + Nvidia vs the M4 likely has some trade offs. Capacity to get allot of the way there on an Apple M4 then turn up the rest of the way with faster processing likely has value. More time less leveraged by batteries has value.

Also been impressed with the advancements in power banks and solar panels. It would be nice to be able to have solar panels that are at 200W capacity that could easily fit in a backpack – though that might be a bit of a pipe dream. Portable free power is huge, maybe find a way to use a bike chain (not sure if it would be taken away by the city) – less of a big deal if you have a car or somewhere to store it. Maybe get some of the small 40W solar panels and find a way to add them to add them to a combo series (5*40W = 200W).
