Some of the headlines around Illegal Immigration made me think about due process. I am not a lawyer and can’t see the legal landscape (I am not in court rooms or at law firms). I learned somethings about due process listening to the following video. Due process facilitates human rights and protection of democracy, seems like something worthy of turning up.

Thoughts on corporations as a person. May corporations be compelled to incriminate themselves? Also thoughts on confiscation without just compensation on a personal or corporate level.

Thoughts of different political parties and fair elections – all voters and citizens provided due process factors into perception of less leverage and oppression, which factors into fair elections perceived and winners of elections appreciated.

Fair elections likely leads to less riots and more community service (collaboration, peace building, and open communication channels), facilitates citizens thinking better of each other and benefit of the doubt.

Thoughts listening of how we incorporate in grouping and equality categorization and classification in non ideal ways. Metaphors are an example of how we turn this up on the common and might factor into law, weighting, and judgement. Disabled might end up homeless, homeless might equate to dart train as only access to AC in Texas sun. Dart maybe doesn’t want homeless doesn’t really want disabled, doesn’t really want disabled protected?

No bathrooms might equate to more investment in businesses like bars and restaurants, yet with inflation and increased losses due to disabilities I am not sure that justifies no public bathrooms at Dart facilities.

Peacemaking and Humor

I like to laugh, like to joke, I also know it isn’t fun to always be the butt of someone’s joke or feel like the things you care about are trivial, a nuisance, can be discarded with your dignity and contributions.

People aren’t perfect but like to think they are at times. The Bible preaches forgiveness based upon that fact that people with not always ideal intentions and not always ideal comprehension can not only be saved and forgiven but can learn to be better, are worthy of forgiving and still having as part of the team.

Forgiveness might be seen as when convenient when it is profitable for self to do so. Yet society turns up laughs, jokes, and humor as useful which has the capacity to create problems in combination.

It is worthy of note it is possible to get someone to be unforgiving right before they hear a joke, will deliver have to deliver a joke might not always be the wisest. “With great power comes great responsibility” might be overlooked with humor. While society might acknowledge it is a partial investor in humor – joy and problems that come with it they might not try to jump on the grenade before the rare edge case anomaly problems happen – just because one can see doesn’t mean they can stop it.

I like to laugh and I also don’t like practical jokes that go too far like in the movie Carrie where they cover her in pigs blood. More obvious sometimes easy to see than where the true dangers lie.

Potential for serious comments to be upsold to a joke in non ideal ways. Potential for deliver wrong or with more anxiety than laughing along to not be truly appreciated as a joke.

The wrong joke could theoretically lead to unforgiveness and substantial losses to finances compounded overtime. If we inspire a world with more grace and forgiveness that is less likely to happen and those that joke around might have families that need to be supported too – unforgiveness seen as only will affect one person seems unwise.

Can turn the screws tighter so there is no forgiveness and grace in the room, I think it is wiser for peacemaking to take the forgiveness route. Likely more grace screws not too tight in advance could lead to people working together, giving each other the benefit of the doubt, making peace through open communication channels rather than silence as the only way to establish value.

Jokes can be taken too far and that is not all value added for the world. Golden Rule and treat others how you wish to be treated 999 + 1 more test is not always wise, tests in combination add up. Still worth forgiving that it is not the 1 person that pushes it over the top, it is partially the 999 other tests that leads to 1000. Problem is humor can be useful as a conversation starter or might get you to tell a joke to someone at 999 in their day. If they took the 999 tests less seriously they might be well equipped to take 1 more less seriously. My guess is enough tests with anyone things might get less humorous.

Redistricting Thoughts

Does redistricting reinforce a 2 party system? Progress on Global Warming as ideal, other parties and ideas included in a true democracy? Potential for forgoing equitable justice for all parties by optimizing for 2 parties on the common.

Not red or blue as can’t be dehumanized as human rights have to be respected, are worth turning up?
