There are plenty of Churches in Dallas. Seeing if as a sufficient, active safety net as it is right now seems unwise. I am not sure that is because of insufficient giving, might just be insufficient desire to be out in the Texas sun. On the plus side less people with Heat Strokes.

Given what I have been through – people that know it might not want to rely on Christ for money or food Matthew 19:21 style. That said if generosity was at perceivable levels society might be less mean and work more with each other. Might be a bit of a reason to fake it till you make it.
