Would be nice to think art turns up no illegal drugs. I like pretty things like fireworks, yet I could see light shows might not be ideal lsd or other drugs out.
Fourth of July shows could have “Don’t do drugs!” Written in the sky yet that might ruin the reminder of freedom and decrease enjoyment. Rock Music shows don’t generally have a preachy message right before or after the show, might decrease sells – bubble boy doesn’t really fit with the image.
That said collective investment in image likely paints a false narrative at times. My guess is musicians don’t want their fans to die in drug deals. Touring and lack of back stage passes will likely not give ample involvement to give a preachy don’t do drugs message. Intentions good yet pragmatically that message won’t be turned up – which kind of seems just that is the way things work around art, music, and entertainment.
Would be nice to think God doesn’t complicate things in non ideal ways at times – while the theory sounds good in practice it might work out differently.
If one has few friends, then goes to a concert and meets people they might have more friends. People with less friends don’t have the ability or likely feel at liberty to run a criminal background check on their new friends. Desire to socialize might lead to setting a lower bar, might lead to enabling behavior at times. I am not perfect they are not perfect might get upsold to proximity to drug sells is no big deal. Yet it might invite in both law enforcement and potentially scarier people just by proximity. Less proximity to investigations might be powerful for future employment and support.
That said trusting God and thinking better of others might lead to feeling of more relationships and potential to do good in the world outweighs the added risks. A hot rock fan that is a heroin junky might need more support and not less? Thus there might be a potential for partial enabled without tying to- need someone to rescue turns up the hero – combination as not all pretty. Sweet Church girl has to be a druggy to be loved, feels like she is taking support from the one with an addiction problem by being in the mix leads to repeated bow outs in advance? They need them more so the y are better for them might get turned up.
Look like, be one in the good way not the bad way – simple as that. Cops likely want musicians to have fans and don’t want their fans around drug deals that might go sour. Seems like a win win win for musicians fans and authority that isn’t always discussed. I am not authority which might be why I have more liberty to discuss it.
Now I am afraid to paint or sing not really what the writer is going for. Which clarifies why wisdom might not always be ideal. It I felt like God supported artists better I might not say this – currently homeless while writing this document – likely not always considered while reading or why not generally written. Might need to cover the don’t do drugs base for the artists – it is their fault their problem is not really fair, not really pragmatic.
The world is a better place or a worse place after writing this document. I like art and encouragement, I would like to see more and not less in the world – yet is that truly the trajectory of this document? I feel like writing is a form of art, will this document provided inspire a world I want to see, will think is better than not providing the document? Would be nice to mitigate all risks associated with words – providing has risks not providing has risks. Don’t provide unless you know for a fact God has given you perfect words to prevent risk in ideal ways seems like an unwise requirement for writing. That said less risk more enabling has value including inspiring a world one might value more.
One might venture to say that in a world where information travels so fast knowing your audience is impossible, yet knowing your audience is valuable. Same words will be same risk to all people seems unwise – people don’t all agree on what the meaning of particular words are in languages with multiple definitions like English.
I feel like I have good intentions writing this document. I feel like people that say less could have better intentions at times as well. Writing is an investment in personal communication – there is profit in it – any writing as ideal altruism? Write a book of wisdom just don’t sell it, paint a picture for others just don’t look at it first. Problem with altruism A fee-d. Fans not dying from drug deals, means potential for repeat business from art sells – I might actually like the fan? Well that is just an added bonus.
Liability message might lead to early divests yet I think this message has value, told to less because might be too much wisdom might be less protected. Might be a way to say it better – generally with safety messages and world of computing – faster delivered is greater potential – might be people on the other side of the world about to go to a concert.
