Our military, world militaries have capacity to end conflicts swiftly. The choose not to, it gives potential to save lives, lead to more sustainable peace long term.
Even if one bombs enemies, that does not guarantee it will give a future where there are no enemies.
All that given equates to people that invest in prolonged wars (as a divergent path to swift ends to human suffering) are peacemakers.
I don’t have jets and bombs, people with jets and bombs could end things swifter and it is not always wise to do so.

A future with prolonged human suffering for mass populations is awful, no future for mass populations is awful
