I might not be the best one to speak to the current problems with violence on campuses and protests, that said people trying to better their lives by educating themselves should not be a place where they feel violence.
Violence is not an effective form of education. Most people in the country (including self) do not get Pentagon reports, access to confidential and classified information including that which comes from Allies that our government is acting on. Reinforcing antisemitism and racism on any level is wrong and consequential – likely to cause problems, and might factor into reduced value outside of self that is consequential, that people, good people likely want to divest from today.
It is possible to be catalyzed, including catalyzed toward things such as violence based upon insufficient comprehension and inadequate access to data. Taking a step back and realizing data, including data that is conveyed via news reports amplifies less than ideally should be a reason for more grace and forgiveness in the world.
