Some thoughts generated a bit in reading response to topics in Chapter 1 of the book Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Paulo Freire (book title author name not free, I give a lot of free content on this blog but those are not mine to give)
We don’t have to acknowledge factors into Throughput problem
Fighting wrongs of oppressors might be limited via acknowledgment that oppressors in a new situation might be less than ideally oppression free. Allowing continued oppression and punishment of oppressors to reduce power, potential threat and risk. Risk reduction factors into oppression that is hard to divest ideally from. Oppressors don’t like the keys taken from them likely hard to fully appreciate, power struggle of over not over.
Imagine a good leader has visibility reduced and someone they limited to reduce oppression is mistreated and oppressed in provable, verifiable, highly public ways. Knowledge of Truth that oppression exists might limit reduction of oppression yet decreased comprehension of that truth might be oppressive itself. Less than ideal control might lead to convolution of message.
Acceptable levels of oppression get set for a cause, yet not all that set those levels would like to be put under the same conditions themselves. Set a owe can equate to owe is set to self is a less than ideal system that is difficult to ideally divest from. Leaders might be punished in the way they punish equates to potentially less than ideal punishment than might be desirable to actually prevent problems.
Less capacity to prove own support is turned up in ways that is likely to lead to less-than-ideal comprehension of who is support and who is not. People aren’t required to reinforce that others are support, value added. Golden Rule reduced in a profit-based system is consequential.
