Imagine having a giant gear that symbolizes oppression, communism gaining more ground, and loss of freedom. Then imagine you have another giant gear that symbolizes the Russian War Machine, a superpower potentially backed by communist China. Being between gears that are two potential futures both of which could be oppression and death feels less than ideal. Precedent set by Ukraine and Russia might factor into Taiwan and China.
All with a backdrop of Vietnam War and failures there including Genocide in Cambodia that followed. Makes one think trips to other planets, NASA might be on to something.
We invest in reduced child labor, less children’s fingers between gears of awful machines like in the industrial revolution, yet do we always invest in less bombs dropping on children (image from Vietnam)?
