Things working right matters. How things work change with innovation. Innovation does not always profit all parties equally. Things worked in ways I like or someone else liked in the past is not guaranteed to work in similar ways in the future.
Say the future brings a war. Wars require investments, investments in time and active listening. Technology helps brings order, helps control things at times equates to the future has the potential to be more controlling especially in times of war, political instability, pandemics, and natural disasters.
The future has to appear trustworthy, things have to work in similar manners matters. If writing on a sheet of paper today is different than writing on a sheet of paper 20 years ago, physics has changed, reality has changed in dramatic and scary ways. Now imagine many people use tablets now. It might be conceived of as possible by governments, businesses, and crime organizations that remote modification of that sheet of paper is useful, necessary, and desirable.
Something happens that is untrustworthy to the system reinforces less trust, less capacity to trust, more appreciation for instability. Something happens that reinforces distrust on cybersecurity has potential to be perceived as oppression does not equate to source has to be known. Can’t differentiate between government and crime organizations, businesses matters and is hard to fully appreciate.
Now imagine I take video of the city, because I want to utilize a camera I have just purchased to make some amazing footage that could be useful to provide for self and family in the future. Now imagine I know that people including little children from other countries could possibly be captured on that video camera while filming, how might that make me feel about editing on a computer, or computers with cybersecurity problems that are shown to be less than ideally trustworthy at times. Corruption in Governments, could be that. Human trafficking rings with a cyber element could be that. Could be does equate to knowns does not equate to zero problem for the public, involved parties.
Knowns and Unknowns factor into less capacity to be assured I could edit in timely fashion, less capacity to be assured video I capture won’t be misused.
A system has to be ideally trustworthy to proceed would likely equate to zero forward momentum does not equate to I know how to gauge or have adequate visibility to know how to gauge the problem or have potential to effectively combat it. I would know when it is too much of a problem to stay stop the presses might not always be true, think society would just stop the presses? We reinforce less than ideal cybersecurity in ways that is hard to fully value and hard to fully comprehend.
Potential for satellite footage, potential to grow government files without adequate investment in actually making the lives of those captured on video better. On the other hand, can’t help what you can’t see. On the other hand, see like seeing failing infrastructure does not equate to always fixed. On the other hand, see like seeing failing infrastructure sometimes leads to fixed, better.
Video might catch a villain, might exonerate someone accused (representation of location confirmed sometimes a good thing). Is the system in a state where video is more value added for society or less value added for society? People always know what their governments or businesses are up to? Video that captures society, that profits from technology gains all of society has contributed to (think Hollywood and Police Cameras), should be encouraged to more ideally protect and lead to gains for all of society, not just some of society.
Some at top of penthouse, part of society. Some sleeping in an alley, part of society. Someone stuck in a hospital bed, part of society. Someone in the sky above our heads on a plane, part of society. Children all over the world, part of society. Elderly people trying to make ends meet, part of society. People in Militaries stuck in wars, part of society. People in government offices, oval office, part of society. Many other examples, that likely factor into appreciated and not appreciated. People in Jails and Prison, part of society. Innocents and wrongly accused stuck in Court Rooms, Jails, and Prison, part of society.
Will amplify ideally for them?
Capacity to personally profit and profit society is desirable. Hard work should lead to value, capacity to better one’s self and family, tech, and systems we all have a vested interested in have shown precedent for being set to not a vested interest throughout history. Medical Tech and Medical Data, also turned up by gains in camera and microscope technology, always set to profit all parties ideally?
Head starts matter, more trust today factors into great capacity to improve technology – hard to put a price tag on trust, trust reduced. Has potential to bias against wrong parties, create desire to jump to conclusions in less than sufficient ways – equates to reduced desire and capacity to judge, assess likely not for all parties. Desire for problems to stop without accusing wrong parties might be set to ideal by default. Reduced support output is generated via reduced trust does not equate to it has to be factored in, does not equate to it should not be factored in.
