Precedent like how to teach and how to make peace is built on history. Precedent, how it is set, is of consequence.
Easy to forget, Genocide is an Atrocity that has been turned up more than once on this planet. We like to trust God with the Future, that everything will be good going forward, yet the people during the Great Depression likely thought similar. Despite the hardships of the day there is hope, there is light, and there is encouragement.
People that were likely doing their best in spite of hard times were unable to prevent Gas Chambers, Trains of Oppression, Internment camps, and Genocide. Life doesn’t give hard hands, then harder hands has not always been how God has dealt post Resurrection of Christ.
Only believing the best in the Future has potential for less than ideal Gas Chambers and Genocide out. Standing up against oppression is not always easy, might cost a job, might never be appreciated by others in society. Doing the right thing has potential for forgotten, for painted in other lights others see fit for the problems of the day.
People at YouTube, their employees see oppressive choices that limit important voices firsthand, how will they choose to move forward? Continue working with a company where oppression and silencing voices they don’t agree with is allowed to amp with no consequence? Is that really precedent they want to set, desire to set?

Easy to not fully appreciate the same popular clicks and groups in high school, the same desire to create systems of one of us and not one of us, is the same systems oppressive regimes use to divide the publics into groups of useful and less useful (less required to be appreciated as the Image of God). People on football teams who are taught to win and maximize profit at all cost always see the Humanity in the other team, see the other team as men or women made in the Image of God?
Human life is less valuable, torture is not an abomination preceded Christ being raised on the Cross and executed. People dress up like Monsters and Animals sometimes for Halloween and Theatre, society not letting dehumanization become common place has had less than sufficient output over time.
It is nice to feel a part of something, bandwagon appeal that factors into support available versus not available is real and many times amps far less than sufficiently for all, far less than sufficiently over time. Comprehending Hazing as a system for testing people to see how far their loyalty is, and for the potential evil it has to cause is not always comprehended by those in High School, College, and the Military.
Men throughout history, Memorable men like Caesar and Hero’s like Hercules slay Monsters. Men are taught to desire power. People can easily be upsold to demons, to villains, to less useful for the cause, to their death is undesirable but necessary for the cause. It is manly to stop villains can be turned up. A man is a man once he has killed an enemy on the battlefield could be turned up, and likely has throughout history. It is more manly to hunt. Part of being a man is shooting guns. Popular enough to get on a team, then required to take action to protect others that leads to less popularity and loss of status with teams and groups is common on Earth. Kind of annoying life amps the same problem seemingly on repeat.
Engineering where you are trying to be part of a project and help and have to make decisive decisions to protect others every couple years that costs you everything? What are the words that have turned the tide in History when Leaders think war is imminent, impossible to avoid? Leads to breakthroughs usually means there is a reason the words lead to breakthroughs, realizing that has the potential for Power, Power that has potential for being very high value added in life.
Peace and Peacebuilding that manifests value for a few, that allows a few to max profit at the cost of many in society is insufficient, inadequate for the future.
System leads to peace while allowing a few to be left miserable seems unwise to allow as common practice, unwise to set as precedent.
Leaders have gems in communication that have the potential to incite war or to stop it dead in its tracks. Do those Leaders hold onto those words, use those words in a way that will generate value creation for all, or just some? Trained to speak better, trained to call out the wrongs does not always lead to the wrongs called out.
