Marcus woke up sweating profusely. He had a vision during his dream. Flames were rolling down the side of the mountain side like water from a fountain. Marcus
walked into town and went to talk to his friend at the local shop. A beautiful
day in Pompeii the Arches gave some much needed shade for him to talk with his
friend.
“What are you selling today old friend?”
“Some spices sent from the traders at the nearby village”
“I fetched the batch for half the price and think they will fetch a few silver coins”
“I heard there were more soldiers along the trade route” – Marcus
“There was, it might not be the wisest thing to discuss here”
“Will the street act be on display today?” – Marcus asked
“It is amazing show but alas today my friend is not the day they usually arrive”
Suddenly the sky turned from a greyish blue to a bright red and he could almost feel the ash on his skin. He didn’t know it at the time but he was having a flash back in advance built on a dream he never expected to have.
