In the dangerous situation, might not have time to decide, people use what they have on hand

1000 yards Sniper Shot to disable hostage situation? There are cases for lethal, there are a lot of cases for non lethal
Stopping force matters, delivery of stopping force matters, defending actions after incident matters as well, less than lethal might mean better quality of life for all involved, bad situation turned into something much worse, or a chance to be an unsung hero? God rewards things humans don’t always see
Life is but a vapor, personally I believe less than lethal beats lethal for my life, a bit of a liability having guns around
Tase someone and they choke to death due to health problems, possible, rare cases don’t equal majority of cases, mitigating choices are nice things to have when defending cases
The assailant had their brakes checked and did normal maintenance on the car before the crash, or the assailant did not
Not proper maintenance, then went driving on the roads, and action wound up hurting someone? not an ideal situation to be in
No guarantee the victim/assailant or the one defending won’t die tomorrow due to Tornado or getting hit by a bus, satellite or meteor that falls out of sky. Life is but a vapor, going a little easier might be appreciated a bit more on the cosmic scale
Settling bad
Sweet enough to harsh makes sweet enough not quite sweet enough
Status quo not too bad, side barred with giant loss, does not make us really want to return to status quo not too bad
kind of good, big contrast, to want something more
Settle for a system then get side barred, we question having settle for it in the first place
A hook for a song we just settle for, or one that really delivers
