Bought a Wyze Band from Amazon and having an issue seeing the Alerts from Alexa, not sure what is up

Used a Ryobi Jigsaw ruler guide on my iPad last night to try and use as a straight edge, wouldn’t work, used cardboard and it did work, and reminder to any trying to think about using power tools incorrectly
Was perfect sized, would be nice to have a plastic one for use on the iPad, don’t want to be trapped and eating with a plastic spoon, trying to find one that doesn’t hurt the screens, Paperfeel screen protector helps with scratch protection too I think
