Bridges in Dallas

There is construction going on near the bridges in Deep Ellum. There is allot of new artwork there which I like for the most part (a Mastodon like an Elephant over a ground of skulls that looks like what you would see in a genocide exhibit of Rwanda might give a look like Republican, Elephant).

I spoke to a guy under the bridge that said he was familiar with the way things should be done. He also said things were being done in a way that shouldn’t, pointing out a bolt that had fallen to the ground, bolts that are being removed. Maybe this is a maintenance phase later on that I don’t know about where they are removing bolts from the bridge to let the concrete and metal to expand – I have degrees in Computer Engineering, not degrees in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Might be fine, it is likely the NSA and military hear what is on my phone so likely there is some record of the conversation – if it was a problem might be flagged. The guy was homeless but sounded plausible – keep in mind I a guy with masters in engineering am homeless too, and this guy looked a bit more on his game than me.

Whistleblowing through normal channels don’t always get turned up, this is a few weeks later.

Less money for maintenance, huge national debt, trying to protect allies might not be ideal eyes on Dallas bridges, maintenance, and infrastructure. Didn’t think too much of it until I was walking another part in the city and saw a similar bolt on the ground – might just be normal maintenance I don’t understand.

Considering I might being left under the bus for profit, I might not be the only one being left under the bus for profit…. might not ideal maintenance, respect for keep fixed long term.

Was pointing out the rust too

The intersection that it is above – above an amazing new set of art

August 15th, 2025 looks like date of that conversation.

Mastodon is hidden off a bit close to a side garden, close to this one

Some pretty epic portraits in the collection
