God allows somethings I do not like in this world. Why do bad things happen to good people?
We are called to think better of others – to all people are good people?
Yet God calls sinners to repentance not people who think they are sin free. Call all people sinners in need of repentance?
Golden Rule if we judge others (or assess and assess blurs the lines of judgment) might be sinners are we really investing in The Golden Rule? If I was doing something majorly wrong I would likely want to be told what and why. That said a rebuke has the potential to blur the lines between ideally invested, ideal concern. Less than ideal investment and concern as a rebuke has potential to sometimes be valuable.
What is the difference between valuable feedback and feedback that is partially disheartening or fully disheartening? Different political times and climates could equate to some sins are more problematic for people. People might not call out sins, but then they see a specific danger up ahead, like danger cliff stop moving forward. I don’t want others to fall off cliffs and I don’t know where all metaphorical cliffs are.
I am not a leader of a church. My guess is every church service worldwide will likely have a non-null amount of sin involved. All things are possible through Christ does not equate to I think it is likely that grouping people all together in one room is likely to lead to always ideal thoughts at all times. Some people might want to lead a church, and while I do not, I could see how seeing someone else in a position you desire might create jealousy.
I think the idea with any church service is it is investment, ideally an investment in less sin, less sin overtime. A form of sowing, you reap what you sow comes to mind. God is merciful and graceful thus I tend to think of Him more as a Universal Protector than the one ready to drop the axe on you when you sin. Non-null amount of sin to cut off, or say lord’s prayer? Invested in forgiveness and lord’s prayer for a reason – knows we don’t meet perfection and less than perfection is classified as sin.
Problem is that leaves someone who is required not to judge to make assessment about what one sees as sin and does not see as sin, what are dangers worth acknowledging and what are risks that are just a part of life. Add in world events, wars, famines, droughts, natural disasters things get complicated. Less sin might equate to more preparation, more preparation is a sometimes useful system (store all the grain for not?)?
Black sheep fatted calf story comes to mind. Everything God has is ours or not? I can’t walk out of the Vatican with one of the priceless paintings – I am glad I can’t as it has potential for others to see it, future generations to see it. That said it would be nice not to feel like one has to walk away to see God’s love. Prayers answered only for love thy enemy might tempt desire to leave a church? People are likely to fail man and woman – nature of the beast sin is in by design? But God, a God that cares about our prayers – enough to send His only son and let him be nailed to a cross – doesn’t want to be generous, doesn’t care about our prayers, leaves many things unsaid and seemingly unheard? Can’t say unheard is all bad, anger does not always lead to ideal words.
That same God that cares that much about us, who tells us to value generosity, won’t be generous? Might be confusing, it is not man that is the reason I have a beef, it is the feeling God seems silent distant uncaring at times while claiming to be ideally generous. Cosmic powers, miracles, and healing when will this show get on the road? Love neighbor in ideal ways without access to cosmic powers, miracles, and healing? Documents like this one are an investment in Faith, I comprehend silence and no more than yes and no has value at times likely in ways I can’t fully appreciate.
Man does not always reward silence – seen as a non-investment, yet God who is all knowing likely knows how to reward it. God can read a book we didn’t write, man cannot. God can factor that into our defense, man cannot. Self might be able to value at a later date not added to equation. Gives others stage time – silence as a form of generosity? Extra computer cycles for other important tasks, tasks that are not my words? Could be used as leverage, as a way to say never sow, never try to solve anything, gives a chance for others to solve things. God says value silence, yes and no does not equate to He desires us to stop the good fight? Silence might equate to less false witness, comprehend does not always ideal a certain unknown amount of lies in by default.
