FBI has raised concerns of cybersecurity problems, supercomputers and World Governments, AI, and now quantum computers that could break encryption without a requirement to raise knowledge of access to the technology are all potential problems in 2025.
Just because the current government might be able to protect the data, equates to the government 20 years from now will be able to protect it sufficiently? Potential for raising problems, risk, and liability for future without requirement to fund it, invest in sufficient capacity for sufficient remedies financial and otherwise at later times in history.

Wrong people get in power, with your children’s data? Records may be changed; history is not required to be provided accurately by computers. Future might desire to profit in non-ideal ways at a future date?
