There are allot of factors in thinking something as safe or not safe. I am not sure it is easy to say one creating the content or one watching the content will A know fins, and problems with the content. Content is released to public and then feedback is given – not the other way around. We don’t know the future – people make investments with the thought the content they add will be value added and not subtracted to the world.
I generally don’t think people make content with the idea content will lead to sin and we also know content has potential to lead to sin. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll, explosions in action movies help sell a movie as interesting, interesting equates to more potential (but not a guarantee) to deliver message in full. Content is entertainment value, content is also more than entertainment value has potential to push people towards better choices, see complex topics in new lights that give mercy and grace (thinking better of others is part of Golden Rule, thinking better of content creators might not always be easy).
Current World Events factor into how a message is perceived. Making things mean more not always wise when people create content before World Events happen – there is a disconnect and associations might not be intented could equate to thought associations might mean more. Content is likely to inspire people in different ways – non deterministic, but non deterministic in a good way is part of faith, an investment in thinking better of others.
If one is an artist, spends time working on art, they don’t usually create it for others not to see. If one plays music they likely don’t want the only ones at their concert to be family members. My guess is most actors an actresses that do nude scenes would not want their family to be the audience of the movie. Life is an investment in faith, faith that delivers likely does not always think of or factor in all risks. Not meant for matters, might get turned up less than ideally.
I am not a priest, nude scenes might not be ideal for priest, I don’t think goal of actors and actresses doing nude scenes is to get priests to lose faith, turn away from faith. If a Christian goes to the beach, or watches a series thoughts of how either choice might play out in the world comes to mind. I know the feeling of being inside a hotel room in Vegas and thinking, staying inside might be less likely to lead to poor choices.
Christian story without crucifixion is likely not as relatable or trustable. Evil is part of the story, does not equate to the evil is good, evil not part of the story would be less trustworthy might be of less impact and less comprehension. Same idea could lead to people creating movies with dragons and monsters, no dragon or monster, no injustice to fight might not lead to hero appreciated as a hero.
People that might not be getting ready answers from God in their life – via seek and find, knock and door will open might look for greater meaning in content. Greater meaning than entertainment value might not be ideal to turn up. Evil is bad, good triumphs is likely a story we all want for our lives. Whether one goes to the movies, go to work, or go to the beach – one is making investments in good will triumph over evil. Mankind and Earth is less than ideal sin out, where one spends their time matters.
Movies and Stories are also an investment in communication. Word choices matter, things like foreshadowing and puns give greater meaning in context, might lead to similar thought patterns out of context.
Once content is watched it might be more difficult to forget in ideal ways at ideal times in the future. There is value in seen, there is also value in unseen at times. Access is for a limited time, access might not be possible in the future. Entertainment might be addictive does not equate to less access to entertainment in the future is always likely to be more encouraging.
Value in combinations is hard to fully comprehend. People that have good days, people that have bad days, people with different health problems, from different professions, at different times in their lives all have potential to watch content and see content based upon their specific set of circumstances. Watching the same content as others, might lead to some answers, some answers might lead to more questions.
