Listened to United Nations speech on education. I want all citizens of the world to be protected, I also feel like the United Nations has diminished the significance of the losses of the Israeli people.
I don’t have access to the older United Nations speeches. Makes me want to look at and hear the ones in 2002 after 9/11/2001. What is different in the words and what is similar? A thousand+ people killed has shown precedent for starting wars. The World reinforce ideas and systems that don’t lead to attacks that allow 1000+ people killed in terrorist attacks? I am not sure exactly what needs to change, diminishing Israel and other countries right to protect themselves from significant threats I don’t think is the right option.
Will France get rid of all of its nuclear technology, and weapons? If not…. why not?
I did not create the following video, I find it useful for discussion
Police officers could turn over their guns, have them all melted in a furnace today.
That would be unlikely to lead to a society with no guns. There are unintended consequences to preventing defense.
God also says Love your enemy, those who live by the sword die by it.
One could argue that Christ’s words are only in context to that particular event in history. For those that believe, one could argue Christ’s Crucifixion is the largest event in history outside of the end of days, the creation of the World.
What does Love your enemy mean exactly in a day with nuclear weapons? Ideally a world would turn up situations that don’t lead to anyone ever tempted to use weapons from nuclear weapons to police officer’s guns.
I feel a bit double sided on nuclear weapons, I want to be protected, and I don’t want anyone nuked.
Again, I did not create the following video, I find it useful for discussion
“If you insist on saving your own life you will lose it, and if you lose it for my sake shall find it” in combination with desire for others to be protected? Jewish and Christian people in Nazi Germany might have lived by that motto.
As Love your enemy and Golden Rule is in New Testament, reminders we have all fallen short of Glory of God and forgiveness is paramount finding creative solutions to form peace in advance seems wise.
Mark 12:30-31 NIV – Love the Lord your God with all your – Bible Gateway
I don’t think love your neighbor means allow Nazis to cart them off in trains, whoever they are.
I will say no gun when there are not significant threats around you is valuable. Less sword in the mix might save you, might lead to peace. This world has drugs that are hard to fully comprehend, and people aren’t always in control of their actions – less weapons around is valuable hard to fully appreciate if you haven’t seen everything I have. That said if I was on the battlefield, I would want those around me, my allies fully equipped and protected as that factors into capacity to protect those around them.
If I would make a suggestion, doesn’t have to be followed. Make peace and forgive those who wronged you on this day, don’t put it off, because bridges built today factor into support tomorrow. If I had lived by this better in the past I would likely have more support on this day – others have potential to learn from my mistakes, see better days. Collective sins of society kind of equate to we are all constantly wronging each other anyways, you might have turned up global warming and I turned up global warming, to what are we going to do about it?
Don’t judge and science is a bit hard to ideal in combination – if we don’t determine we are over the line as society, as a World, will we really do anything to solve it?
Growing up in the 1980s I am grateful no body made me wear a shirt that said Global Warming Supporter, doesn’t have to be supported. At the same time we as adults need to look at the issue if we want to have any chance solving it over the long term.

Figure I could learn something more from the following video
Some thoughts listening – Big Brother and if-ed cybersecurity has caused real problems in my life that I feel like have been a contributing factor of anxiety and feeling of oppression in war torn times. Understand the need for Patriot Act at the time, feels like it has potentially been used as an oppression and control engine as well – thus I support parts of her message. Her message talks about how we are close to WW3, Nuclear Weapons and trying to promote peace thus worth turning up.
Being from Texas, messed with sideways with cybersecurity problems has potential to give feeling is NSA and FBI still watching, or are cartels, gangs, mafia potentially watching the network at times. I have invested time and effort into Computer Engineering degrees, messed with on that level, my work including this blog make me question if no network connection is not more valuable at times – though could still be built in network bugs I can’t see. Disconnected really hurts my life work, connected to a wreck support engine really hurts my life work as well.

Thoughts after listening to the video – Ethnic cleansing and humanitarian problems in Armenia by Azerbaijan sounds awful, I do not want to discount all the United Nations voices because I do not think they are sufficiently supporting Israel’s right to defend themselves. Makes listening difficult, I don’t want Israel’s right defend themselves limited and there are other problems in the world that feels unfair to completely not address.
—- following is not to do with the particular video above
I can understand why Israel might not want to reinforce power in an organization that doesn’t give adequate recognition, lose 1000+ people just out at festivals then have parts of the world accuse you of genocide for trying to protect self while you are surrounded by enemies and it continues to reinforce the same patterns of diminished significance
Propaganda rows F A for Jewish and Israeli people is scary, good reason not to believe everything one hears at times, knowing who to believe when people say a Jewish state is causing humanitarian problems – I rely on our government that has more access to data, I don’t get all good data and have cybersecurity problems, the reports I hear of humanitarian problems are concerning, in line with potential supporters of terrorism like Iran, surrounded by enemies – while all these facts are not adequately factored into discussions makes trusting the discussion harder from where I am standing.
