AI is not God. AI, Artificial Intelligence is Intelligence that is created by a computer that is based upon the good and evil in the world.
AI might be able to summarize a 1000 page book for me in 1 page – cliff notes that get me an A in many classes. That said knowledge accompanied by details matters, warnings on specific pages might not accompany the knowledge in the summarization.
Governments might be required to rely upon summaries and summarization partially reliant on computing due to lack of resources and budget at a certain time in the future. National Debt is large, reliance on technology has been fostered and amplified over time.
A computer that finds things humans cannot is powerful, supercomputers might be able to find cancer that a human could not – saving life is valuable, though saving lives and the systems that help increase technology and that accompanied with side effects.
God might allow data to be read from Artificial Intelligence, taught to others does not require that data is good, sound. It also does not guarantee the data is bad, shouldn’t be retaught, worthy of teaching others.
People that get knowledge likely will not always invest in years of research knowing how that particular set of knowledge will affect society for both better or worse. They might entertain some hypotheticals around the knowledge given, does not equate to they will entertain many or close to all to fully understand the information they get.
Writing is not much different. This document has potential to affect many people in the World, economics and mentalities around Artificial Intelligence does not equate to I close to understand the full impact of writing these words. The present and future is actively changing with many minds, computers, and supercomputers all over the world – the current day factors into decision making might not always be entertained, these are different times.
Trying to help might not always be help and that is not always entertained as such. Not all content for all people, someone with health problems or other issues like anxiety might be affected by this document more than others. I want to do right by all people does not equate to I have sufficient visibility at all times to know who my writing impacts, and when it impacts them.
I write these words as trying to be support for the World yet I know words have potential to profit some parties over others at time. Faster delivery factors into potential for gains, in a world where less evil and problems have potential to be valuable for the future. My writing should not be set to perfect, my writing is an act of Faith that I want to add value and not subtract value from the World.
AI set to God could be problematic – solid data factors into truth it provides one day, potential corruption in the system could factor into different data provided on another day, different data provided to others, different data provided to a small subset of the population, different data provided like AB testing. Set sensor data that people read from machines as one valuable point of information worthy of making decisions on at times, don’t set sensor data to God. Man is not required to tell the truth about sensor data, not required to maintain all sensors in the world – likely some bad sensors out there, providing bad data.
Sometimes crosswalks work, set to always work might not be full appreciation for infrastructure, like those that might slow you down in the Texas Summer Sun is dependent upon less-than-ideal maintenance at times, a large national debt. Laws like don’t jaywalk might endanger safety at times, yet less jaywalking in general is likely to lead to more lives saved than darting across the street at unsafe times.
Search results are the same, they are not God, algorithms control which results get first, and a trustworthy government could become untrustworthy in a way that changes set and get in the future, or in the past, or in the present. I don’t work for a company does not guarantee problems don’t exist.
I am one out of many minds thinking on the subject – likely many details I am missing, high level of complexity with reduced capacity to verify. Enemies and international business already relies on the technology, wholesale divestment might not be ideal protection for the future. Technology requires society to adapt, AI has potential to force excess levels of adaption that not all people are ready for at times. I personally don’t think I am able to stop progress on tech – stop people from first flight would have been possible, probable, or better to say the future changes things and I want to be included in a valuable way.
Being able to fly for the first time was likely amazing, yet seeing wars and bombs in news reports dropped after might make flight as accessible by man thought of as more of a mixed bag, with potential for good and evil.
