Imagine there is a number, number of dollars that could be put into saving a life. Realize this would likely be different for every country on Earth. Realize this number does not take into account the uniqueness of each individual person.
One of the problems with a number, cost on a life is it could inspire the idea that is trade-able, upgrade-able. I give $100 to CountryA will save X lives or I give $100 to CountryB will save Y lives.
Most people would likely pay enough to save one life, yet that number could be kept being amplified. If you give 10% you save X lives, if you give 50% you save Y lives. Equated to people could be made to give 90%, 100%. That number added could be set to a public registry, to public knowledge and people that gave less than 100% could be set to NBD to Devalue, Demat, no big deal to reduce value devalue their materials.
Some lives cost more than others to save, setting lives that are more expensive as less desirable to save is unwise.
I question whether to share the knowledge in this document. I have been oppressed and leveraged – I don’t like that that factors into my decision making around the document, has potential to bias my views. I am also sunburned which puts one in less of an ideal mood. That said being oppressed I don’t know how much publishing or not publishing factors into things – might equate to I publish regardless. De-mat is contested ground, less winning is not always ideal profit ideal protection. Hard to project ideally how this document might factor into value for others. Some might prefer it de-let, majorities might prefer de-let, allow de-let?
I know pain establishes value less than ideally, that said this document is a reminder that giving could save others lives, giving data to wrong hands could take them. This document also is a reminder that numbers around support and aid are valuable and less than ideally amplified, invested in. This document is also a reminder that ideal transparency could be set for all people on Earth might be a less than ideal system. Knowing transparency ideally invested in is problematic has implications. People with numbers might think they can judge, assess properly – temptation is not ideal value established and delivered. You gave to save lives A and not B, you gave to save lives B and not A? Not an ideal argument to allow. Ledger of doom meets you didn’t even think about country C?
This document available equates to the World has potential to make progress on it – and with people on the streets, saying progress doesn’t need to be made seems unwise.
Deathtolls on products. Imagine one makes a product and 1 out of 10,000 people are also associated with a suicide, a murder, some other heinous crime. Should the product be required to be removed from the market if it helps 9,999 people? Should the product be required to be removed if causation can’t be ideally determined? Combinations matter, not always ideally turned up. We know products, products in combinations LTI (less than ideal) and then we set a number that is sufficient. 1 out of 100,000 or 1 out of 1000, 1 out of 100? Numbers, what are the right level for numbers get set might be equated they get set sufficiently, ideally, with no bias.
We turn on light switches knowing there are children and adults electrocuted every year while not granting sufficient protection and accessibility to lessons on safety to those on the streets. Golden Rule I don’t want to think about how I am a partial investor in electrocuting people every time I turn on the lights. I am anti-death penalty, factors into Golden Rule, I don’t want the Electric Chair used against myself, or loved ones, or anyone for that matter. Thus the words Never Say Die might be of greater value here. Weigh gets set to light, right, lift gets set to no gift.
