Our country is not ideal protection from Cartels. We have had ample opportunities to close the border yet we have chosen not to for both good and less than ideal reasons.
Our country is not ideal protection of Jews. We have had ample opportunities to stop Iran yet we have chosen not to for both good and less than ideal reasons.
The combination should be useful to factor in and facilitate mercy and grace for people who are in jail, who have done less than ideally by a less than ideal system.
One of the problems I see with the border is more access to Cartels is deemed as sufficient for people at the border, in Texas, yet if the same problem was at their door step they would likely view differently. One should be able to go anywhere in the country and be equally valued, in truth our system doesn’t deliver like that.
I didn’t get a Political Science degree and run for office. I didn’t join law enforcement and try to become head of the FBI. I pursued engineering. Paths chosen amplify more or less ideally for others in the world. I wouldn’t have done a worse job is likely an unwise assumption. Trust and let others is both a useful and less than ideal system at times.
It looks less than ideal from the outside but there are likely reasons, good reasons we haven’t seen real progress in many years. Golden Rule by people fleeing cartels and oppression South of the Border? I think it is a good reason.
