Less than ideal sin out punishes. No man or woman is ideal sin out. Yet if there are problems in the system and nobody punishes anything, there could likely be bad stuff that gets into food and supply chains.
Things need to be stopped, prevented does not equate to people have ideal ground to stand on to deliver change. Less punishment is good, reduced sadism far from a guarantee. Less problems in supply lines equates to less problems to solve, problems like what to punish and what not to punish.
People do not have to be Christ to be in authority, be a policeman or woman, to hold public office. The Bible says be perfect does not equate to I believe man or woman has the capacity to deliver on that. James 4:17 knowing and not doing is sin. If be perfect equates to being Christ, are you spending all your time on creating a time machine, solving laws of physics to go back 2000 years so oppressive Romans and dictators can nail you using primitive tools to a cross? Falls short of perfection, fully appreciated?
Pursuit of different paths equates to less capacity to time travel for fellow human beings, is that ideal Golden Rule established? Lawyers might be working on a case against you when they could be trying to solve the physics problems of the Universe. Consequential or Not Consequential, Ideal Value Established and Delivered or Not Ideal Value Established and Delivered?
LTISO is punishable, should be punished?
Capacity to punish is consequential, imagine there is a water filter that is going bad in the city water system and there is crime that is preventing people from getting to and changing the filter. Not punishing a few or at very least stopping a few from blocking access might equate to high level of punishment for the rest of society through less safe drinking water.
