Expectation

The Bible says give and expect nothing in return. Luke 6:35

I am both a fan and an artist. I don’t want people to feel forced into creating art – likely would be a contrived less than ideal result. That said the idea of teaching and expecting nobody to learn, teaching others art like singing and dancing, music, and painting – the idea it won’t lead to more artwork in the world seems like an unrealistic expectation.

Expectation of ideal altruism seems like a less than ideal expectation.

Teachers that have results of students learning factors into useful feedback, potential for others to learn in the future. Giving a lesson like giving someone money? Both yes and no doesn’t ring true?

Invest in Peace, expect War?

Invest in going to War, expect Peace?

There are potentially more valid ways to utilize this quote than painting it with a broad brush. I have potential to amplify comprehension with less-than-ideal precision based upon Faith? True.

Sometimes the contrast, contention in the quotes of The Bible feel like a tuning fork or in a better light a sharpening stone. Tuning fork for categorization and classification gives way to realization of complexity as value added system? Doesn’t always feel good to be polarized into commenting.

Expectation does not always lead to thankfulness, desire to invest more. Teacher that gives freedom or Teacher that always expects something in return.

If one works like a slave for others, expecting nothing in return are they reinforcing a non-ideal norm? Slavery set to useful is consequential, people set to can be set to will deliver without payment is consequential. I think slavery is a system worth stopping, reinforcing as value out not value in.

Golden Rule vs Expect others to Expect nothing in return for work, giving, investment?

Maybe I am drawing meaning out of context in significant ways? Different time periods might not be set to didn’t mean that, less useful as value added?

God loves cheerful givers, expectation of zero expectation for giving might not be all cheerful givers amplified. Reinforces those that generate results are given more.

People that desire to profit might capitalize on less-than-ideal ground established?

Parable of the Talents Matthew 25:14-30

Does the Master know not to expect anything in return Luke 6:35, James 4:17?

Two useful paths, potentially chosen by people meaning well with less-than-ideal capacity to deliver win wins for all parties? And not always ideal, Or to more useful?

Expectation of nothing in return, in direct contrast to Matthew 25:14-30?

Expectation of something in return, in direct contrast to Luke 6:35?

James 4:17, expect or don’t expect – you knew better? It is important to be ideal sin out before calling out other’s sins? Clarification factors into High Ground, High Ground that is less than ideally set. There is value in obfuscation, value in obfuscation might at times work in one’s favor.

One gives time seeking yet expects to find something in return? Knock but not expect the door to open? Reasons for limiting ROI are useful, less than ideally turned up based on profit.

Expect but don’t show you expect, because expectation factors into choice to invest again in the future? Bible likely wouldn’t be telling people to show one thing and think another.

Luke 6:38, kind of generates expectation of ROI, a bit in contrast

You pay a store for a coat, instead of them giving you the coat, you give them the coat off your back? No expectation, expects 1 mile give 2? The Bible says Be Perfect – not just 1 mile of perfect, 2? Non-conventional economic systems might not reinforce ideally?

Misrepresentation in difficult to understand and complexity is common. Evil likely knows how to capitalize on that. Expect zero influence from printing presses in the 1800s and slavery?

I believe in The Bible, I believe in the power of the brain, I believe in combination they amplify less than ideally. Otherwise, anyone that read a Bible would be perfect, never sin. I find it a bit impossible not to reinforce non-ideal norms in society, norms that are sinful in by design. Reinforcement of less than ideal seems like it should be equated to less than perfect, and James 4:17 says knowing and not doing is sin, people know they are supposed to be perfect but can’t be thus are sinning constantly seems a more clear assessment, but I shouldn’t be the judge of that? Falls short of perfection equated to constant business for confession booths? Expectation of repeat business ideal expectation reduced?

I would not equate desire to deliver better and inability to deliver better, to ideal desire to deliver better. I don’t know how much time to spend on that is consequential, set to perfection seems less than ideal.

While I might be ideal representation (and I don’t think I am) for my own family, I do not claim to be ideal representation for all people’s families. I have a particular set of talents and a particular set of hardships that does not equate to ideal representation for all parties, and likely should be said for anyone outside of Christ. Made in Image of God might be thought of as limiting uniqueness, an interchangeable part that doesn’t really matter. Made in Image of God might be all categorized and classified into same basket, instead of more full appreciation of limited perception and comprehension, appreciation for details, uniqueness, unreplaceable quality.

Made in Image of God, potential to deliver miracles and crucifiable is less than ideal properties to bestow on others. When I think of as Made in Image of God I think of as less oppression and dehumanization is good, all more appreciated as gifts and valuable. Any Christian to piece that can be sacrificed for greater good seems less than ideal – just an interchangeable part? There is beauty in sacrifice, love, and laying down one’s life for another – set to a value-added system on the common, as a common system that needs to be re-amped seems high value out. Laying down one’s life does not equate to losing one’s life – details?

One monk so moved by someone’s cause they self-immolate. And that someone so moved by the self-immolation self immolates? Laying down, sacrificing one’s life to a value-added system seems like could be less than ideal, likely not ideal momentum for the person’s cause in the first place. Real change beats two burnt corpses, two people crucified at the end of the day?

Fire fighter dies trying to save someone in a burning building? Beautiful, Love.

Fire fighter lives and saves someone in a burning building? Has potential to save others in the future, but not beautiful, love?

Martyrdom to an ideal system seems less than ideal. It is the only way gets amped, champed. Potential to create problems when not a problem. Greater need than actually exists never gets championed, no capacity to profit for others from that? Used their family as a martyr in the past can do it again might never be amplified? Golden Rule set martyrdom to a less useful system for all seems apt, like crucifixion, and self-immolation. Sadism just a problem that stops itself?
