There is differences between driving and e-biking. On an e-bike it is acceptable to pull off the road and get on the sidewalk. Differences and may as a more useful system has potential for amplifying less than ideally at times. I was considering moving over a lane that was a hard white line (don’t cross) to avoid train tracks yet did not see someone in a lane close to me. No accident, thought worth sharing that after a longer ride and in close proximity to home situational awareness might be set to given, false sense of security. Possible to over correct, like trying to avoid train tracks yet do so based on systems that are reinforced in less-than-ideal ways, like waiting at cross walks where the signals don’t work (have to cross because not maintained ideally).
More knowledge shared about e-biking might equate to a safer experience for others, thus I share. Closer call than I would have liked, factors into experience and greater wisdom for miles ahead.
