Vatican Ceiling and Statue of David, no possibilities for gains in art, sculpting?
Easy to think WW2 past Wars are over and History has been settled, there is no longer need for a fight, that territory and minds have been ideally set, ideally chosen, are not subject to change.
I am guilty of this myself, I being a US Citizen it becomes easy to think in 2024 we are so far past Slavery, so far past Antisemitism that racism is just a distant memory, it is no longer a problem in the World.
Better future is less likely if people up-sell minds and ideas to have been set in stone, ideally established, can’t be improved in valuable ways. Maintaining gains and Forward momentum Matter, keeping conversation open factors into bridges built today that might be critical tomorrow. If people think everything is already fixed, they always invest in a busy fast paced society? Not in my opinion.
Artists need inspiration, World including self has shown new content is desirable, factors into message reception
