Less Problems in the Past Matter. If the Catholic Church was less oppressive originally, if there was Zero religious persecution in England, If Salem Witch trials never happened, and If USA never promoted Slavery – would there have been More Christians Pre-World War 2, More Christians in a way that lead to less Antisemitism?
Humanities’ Past is less than an ideal enabler for Inspiring Greater investment in Christianity, God, and Morality – not to be confused with less investment is not consequential. Less investment is likely detrimental for society in ways that are hard to fully appreciate.
If everyone were Christian, there likely would be less need for World Governments to invest in weapons for protection. We don’t live in an Ideal World, where everyone is Christian, everyone perfectly exhibits the Golden Rule. Thus practical need for protection is more meaningful in a World that delivers less than ideally. Christ, God, and The Holy Spirit made Earth in 7 days, can deliver Miracles – has had Power to stop Genocide like in the Holocaust but chose not to. Precedent established by God for what He Stops and what He Does Not Stop should be taken into account in decision making, in Governments choosing to invest or not invest in protection.
God leaves it to humanity to solve is a less than ideal less than desirable outcome. God allows nuclear weapons kind of raises question if Earth and Humanity is God’s only project. Only takes a week to make a planet, and allot of weeks have past since creation – yet don’t think God would have sent his only Son to die for us if He didn’t truly love us, was half invested. It is hard for my mind to fully represent comprehension of God’s Love and the potential for radiation sickness. The potential to be vaporized, the potential to have everyone you know vaporized and then die of radiation sickness is not what I expect from God’s love. I am a Christian, I believe in God, I believe in God’s Love, I believe in Nuclear Weapons as a possible real threat, and reconciling all of it in my mind I feel is a bit impossible.
God Loves us too much, wouldn’t allow that, don’t worry to building bomb shelters – comprehension and preparation factors into future. Preparation not always ideal need to prepare out thus Don’t Worry, See No Evil likely greater value than all fully appreciate. If CountryA sees CountryB moving a nuclear weapon will they See No Evil, or will they build more of their own? CountryA that Sees No Evil, might build More Hospitals and Homeless Shelters – CountryB sees that investment is going towards helping people and not building more threats might turn down its own desire to increase stockpiles.
