Oppression sucks. Reduction is far from a guarantee. No bar to measure against, set to subjective is likely to equal less or no measurements made. Increasing Throughput is sometimes facilitate by setting goals and measuring whether they have been achieved or not achieved.
The ideal is unlikely to be set ideally. That said All people on Earth and in Space to Protected, Blessed, Inspired, Hopeful, Encouraged, Supported in a Way they can make each day on this Earth count factors into perception of less oppression. Perceived as Less Oppressed does not guarantee Less Oppressed, Oppression is deceptive at times, thus perception of less oppression alone should not be used to guage Reduced Oppression Throughput. As ROTp – Reduced Oppression Throughput does not seem like a great acronym, might be wiser to call it something else.
Rate of Freedom Acceleration? RoFA? Not sure Freedom is the best term for Reduced Oppression Throughput, Freedom can be oppressive, someone could free me in the desert with no water. “Now your free, be glad” might ring less true when one has no water and is baking in an arrid environment that produces hallucinations and mirages.
Maybe a longer version Acc-PBI-HES-Tp? Accelerated Protected, Blessed, Inspired, Hopeful, Encouraged, Supported Throughput?
Oppression thought of like a Thorn Bush. War thought of like a Thorn Bush. The future is likely to add rain and the Thorn Bush (potentially genetically engineered for bigger thorns) is likely to grow. The bushes need to be pruned, thorns need to be blunted, as the future walks through the path of these bushes. Thorns like Diversity Problems, Greed, Blind Max Profit, Protectionism, False Dichotomies, People dehumanized and placed on lists that Max Profit for a few are all worthy of consideration. My list is useful and is a dramatically reduced subset of all possible thorns, Thorns like Reduced Access to Healthcare, Reduced Access to Freedom. I do not address all thorns here does not equal all thorns do not need to be addressed, blunted, to prevent future injury.
A writer in medieval England hears the words of a governments verdict shortly before hanging a man in the town square. The man confessed to starting fires in town after being purified through torcher. The writer knows it is likely that oppression factored into the confession of the man, yet there is no one to tell the man’s story. The writer knows he is possibly going to be tortured and hanged for conspiring against the crown if he tries to tell of the oppression. The writer holds his tongue and holds his pen to live another day. Head starts matter, less oppression before the Renaissance invested in had potential for very costly, and thus a head start, head start that could have saved the future from more oppression was divested from in advance.
USA would be perfect without Guantanamo? No. USA might send the World a clear sign that oppression is wrong and head starts matter greatly for reducing oppression if it decided to close the facility sooner rather than later? I believe so.
The wrong kind of thorn bush (not to be confused with former Presidents) need to be pruned before they become a liability for the future. Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Waste require continuous investment, have potential for being a liability for the future. Clear signs of Oppression and Injustice allowed to take root in society is both consequential and creates potential for huge liabilities for our future generations.
No child left behind has potential for More Throughput when tax dollars invest more in the students and less in liabilities amplified via the past. Can’t divest combined with trillions in National Debt equals ideal Throughput for learning?
Eye for an Eye does not amp ideally. Weapons that are used set precedent for what is fair to use is not all value added. A building falls with innocent civilians equals a building with innocent villains falling on the other side is fair? No. Eye for an Eye is what is perceived as Justice at times though it is really not a sufficient path forward.
Systems and People that amp Eye for an Eye have potential to reduce gains to Peace and Prosperity, hold those responsible with Eye for an Eye? Again, not a valid path forward. In a system that is less than ideally just, Eye for an Eye has high potential for creating Loops, Recurrent Events that are Combinational Support Out. High Potential for didn’t see that part of the story, insufficient details to factor into judgments that enable greater throughput for a subset of people.
Do nothing or Eye for an Eye is a false dichotomy. Has potential for controlling path and thought in less-than-ideal direction. Sending a message in a less oppressive way in a way that is more filled with grace and mercy is seen as light an easy, that is not all truth added. Grace and Mercy that creates lift, that creates better results in the long run is not always easier to deliver, does not always require less thought, time, and reflection to deliver right.
No results in the face of recurrent systemic oppression are defeating. Has potential for filtering into the false dichotomy of Eye for an Eye or do nothing. Creative solutions do not always work does not equal all creative solutions have been dreamt of or even though of as possible. Every hour there is potential to make dramatic breakthroughs for better. The oppressors think they have won, yet their hearts will be forced to change when they see all the losses they are likely to incur? People misusing power will likely be replaced by People that do not misuse their power including not abusing those that misused their power in the first place.
New Power gets in charge then people that were less than ideal get abused? People from the past will always have amped less than ideally. Everyone that lived yesterday and today is somewhat from the past. All people have potential to grow and learn over time, potentially in non-ideal ways. Past output has been less than perfect, future output will likely be less than perfect, mistreatment of imperfect people seems unwise.
In a World where animals are at times dangerous like poisonous snakes and spiders, show up in unexpected ways that are terrifying, it is easy to dehumanize. Teaching people to Humanize others appropriately is a non-null time cost in training that is not always sufficiently invested in. Past has shown a precedent for setting people to animals in animalistic ways. Part of being Human is the ability to see the value in Human life, made in the image of God, over humanity as just meat filled sacks that are useful for energy (like other carnivores see it).
Halloween, Movies, and Costumes are not always all Humanization of Humanity amped. Seems like many times humans are related to animals over image of God. Even the Bible at times uses animals as a way to talk about humans, and I am not sure that is all value added. Golden Rule, relate people to Pigs and Swine? “They will trample and rend you” equals treating others how they wish to be treated?
Bible doesn’t stop World War 2, Genocide and Gassing Jewish People like animals. Give dehumanization a free pass when has shown a precedent for amping less than sufficiently over history?
Cops taught Bible is the main authority, is the Word of God learn dehumanization as a useful tool in the arsenal? The idea guidebook sets ideal precedent ideal comprehension ideal context in all cases seems unwise.
I would give the criminal another chance, but society is a Pearl and God said don’t throw my pearls to swine? Potential for not all forgiveness and grace amped efficiently.
