Society makes decisions on Best Practices without always considering things have the potential to change
Following line of logic fails:
People should not be sexual, should not be explicit. God will punish sexual and explicit.
Skin is sexual, explicit. Epidermis, Integumentary, Sebacous glands pouring oil over hot sweaty bodies.
Wearing more clothing is less sexual because it shows less skin.
Women decide sweaters are more valuable that no sweaters.
One’s daughter picks up the idea as trained as best practice.
In 110 degree heat keeps the sweater on and suffers a heat stroke.
The hospital is unable to save in time.
The Best Practice, the idea to reduce sexual and explicit might be driven from initially good intentions of trying to do right by God. To say it does not get into iffy legalism would be wrong. To say environmental conditions don’t factor into acceptable clothing would be wrong. To say more swim suits equals less potential for sexual and explicit would be wrong.
People that look with lust on a woman equals committed adultry in heart, adultry from old testament times is punishable by stoning. I think the combination of all that amps less than sufficiently in our World and is not effectively talk about. Not effectively talked about equals gray and iffy area that could be used by some to leverage in non ideal ways.
I get to punish that is less than a sufficient amp.
They go to the beach, therefore they are an adulterer, thus we don’t have to pay them or do right by them, do not have to follow the golden rule? Gives feeling of bad deal. God effectively protects from the iffy situations or iffy society of judgment? Not from my experience.
Beach and bathing suits amp zero lust? A little sin can’t change everything? Society amps based on levels, levels that are non zero.
Big Sin, Little Sin, All have fallen short of the Glory of God combined with Stoning with iffy context and associations?
Will there ever be Justice against those reinforcing Bad Best Practices that don’t deliver on the Golden Rule? Better training beats justice, real conversation is blocked and prevented factors into how people perceive and comprehend right and wrong.
