Comprehension is far less than ideal. Thoughts of Oculus VR Dark Room. Life a bit like a puzzle these days in a way I can’t fully describe. Ever get the feeling those that are limiting visibility for you don’t have full visibility themselves? Cave in a Cave in a Cave in a Cave, can lose meaning.
Floating in space under stasis.
Or a frozen head controlled by supercomputers deep in a basement somewhere.
Or like a kitten, a world full of possibilities limited by what we have access to see?
Allegory of the Cave, I think therefore I am, realization we live based on imperfect sensors can be a bit depressing thought.
Puzzles and Problem Solving can be Epic, would be nice if the universe magnified less lonely by default

1 Page Paper Short Story on Overcoming the Monster?
What theme to magnify?
The man had his cup of porridge then looked outside. A group of knights was galloping over the horizon. There was a few mountains in the distance and the velvety greens of the day shown brightly reflecting a bit in their silver armor.
They stopped at his house and knocked on the door. Their unwieldy sounds clanked and shifted a bit while approaching the door, it was clear they were looking for his help. The man had been on many adventures before and barely escaping with his life last time was not to keen on joining the party.
The two knights that entered pulled a box out of a sack and opened it, gold glistened in the sun light filtering in through the window. They said this gold had been found outside of the cave and there is likely to be much more where it came from.
The man sat back a bit and pondered having a bit of a flash back. Running from the fire breathing dragon, the heat on his back, seeing his friend close by fried in the fire like a shish kabob. He remembered how knights similar to these had shown up before with gems rubies, emeralds, and sapphires before.
The knights said the gold was only party of it, a local damsel had also gone missing and they were in pursuit of finding her for her family. The monster was unknown this time, last time it was hard to miss the giant dragon flying in the distance. What kind of monster could be lurking in the dark abyss of the cave on the edge of town he thought.
No, generally a very valid answer seems to give way to need to deliver critical problem solving and support. Might be better to bring the town wizard with us this time as a World full of magic and missing comprehension does not always seem to lead to the least charred allies.
Luckily a day earlier the man had his sword sharpened at the local blacksmith. It shown brightly in the corner, it would soon be put in a sheath. He quickly gathered his pack, grabbing some rope and a canteen for the journey. Many warriors in this realm wore giant suits of metal armor and carried big shields, but this man knew, speed and agility sometimes can lead to less oven like conditions.
The journey to the cave would take 3 days. His trusty horse still with a bit of a singed brand from the battle last time looked at him with courageous and somewhat fearful eyes. They rode to the edge of town and they stood outside of the wizards hut. Strange sounds radiated as if fire works playing inside of the stone and hay hut.
The group wondered and theorized about what this wizard could possibly be up to this time. The last set of potions the wizard made were amazing only turned one man into a frog momentarily. Side effects and unorthodox practices were a bit of his norm but he hadn’t caused any lasting damage, at least from what those in the party knew.
They opened the door to the hut and all they could see was a black abyss radiating from the center of the room grabbing the edges as if a nether that was warping the very fabric of space time. The Wizard was no where to be seen and it appeared as if there was a portal to the unknown. Where this portal lead anyone’s guess and high potential for not saving the damsel.
The group would have to be venturing to the cave alone. They mounted their horses and moved forward over the emerald landscape, a bright day with little cloud cover gave a bit of hope and reassurance, as did the distance from that dark abyss portal that seemed to not obey the laws of physics.
