I think an appropriate place to start is a look at the future. Knowing what I know now and how I see the future potentially evolving. Maybe the hypothesis chapter meets science fiction. Once I have completed the research maybe I will write another chapter as a signature to end the transmission of the message of the book.
Thus for Chapter 2
Chapter 2 Supercomputing in multi planetary systems
I am a bit of an artist as well as a programmer. I will try to provide some of the static artwork as I think pictures can help inspire and convey deeper messages possibly then some of what I can say with words alone. Something I noted on my blog is that in a day of books on audio services like Audible, a certain ability to read a book without preconceived notions based upon inflection of vocals is difficult. Someone having a bad day or a stomach pain might not read with the same clarity as others.
That paragraph was a bit of a tangent. One thing about supercomputing in space, we now have a longer delay in sending a signal and a message. Shooting a satellite or spaceship into space locks to a certain extent local processing power. That new shiny device, will the people on mars or in the orbit of Jupiter be able to have it instantly? I hope so, through innovations in 3D printing and potential for mobile clean rooms. On the plus side space is less dusty (though that could be heavily debated).
The speed of light is limited. Therefor to achieve the same results it is nice to have more than one light source in the Universe. God provided us with many stars in the sky and also the ability to create fire and LEDs alike. One thing about a multiplanetary system is that things could be going on, on the other side of the solar system that we are completely unaware of. It takes a lot of faith to realize that people or civilizations could have greater access to resources and technologies that we could even comprehend of. That is why faith is a bit of a requirement in my opinion, specially in a day and age where change and technology is moving so rapidly.
Processing power increases with the decreased distance it takes for a message to travel. As I am trying to write for a more general crowd than just tech experts I think it is wise to discuss caching here. Caching is where resource computation is offloaded from the system to a closer system. The computer I am typing this on is caching it before it will be provided to the cloud. Hopefully ironing out some of the kinks and bugs along the way. If I store a video transmission from the other side of the universe locally I can watch the transmission over and over again without having to wait for the signal to be resent over light years away.
One amazing thing is the cloud has the ability to distill and concentrate information. Like purified water from a crystalline heavenly light source. Much like a weather report it can help us avoid hazards, can help make our days more amazing, can help us solve the health problem we are missing. Probably feels pretty amazing when sitting on The International Space Station to know that the worlds supercomputers are looking out for you and helping calculate moves that will help benefit human civilization more millennia.
As time goes on and the tech bubble ever increases we will need to make sure to help protect the lost and forgotten. Remind them that God and society loves them and wants them to be successful. The success of our systems and the success of human civilization depends upon it. There is so much amazing and expansive content and if we squabble over small details and past wrongs we might be blinded sided when the true problems hit. Therefore I think it is wise to find and remember the beauty in all people while still trying to achieve our goals and press forward.
